Welcome to the Edward J. Kearns Memorial VFW Post 6024 website. 

Our Mission: To foster camaraderie among United States veterans of overseas conflicts. To serve our veterans, the military and our communities. To advocate on behalf of all veterans. 

Our Vision: Ensure that veterans are respected for their service, always receive their earned entitlements, and are recognized for the sacrifices they and their loved ones have made on behalf of this great country.

Business meetings are virtual and conducted online using the Zoom Meeting platform.

Meetings are scheduled on the 2nd Monday of the month at 1900 hrs. (7 PM).

Patriot's Pen and Voice of Democracy Essay Contest

Veterans Day Buddy Poppy Campaign

We still need many Volunteers to go to predesignated venues to collect Buddy Poppy donations.  No experience necessary, we will pair you with another member, whatever time you can give, from one hour to several hours. Contact Junior Vice, John Carson (768-6982) to get signed up.

Friday Morning at Laguna Cafe

Our standing Coffee and Breakfast get together has been moved from Woody's to the Laguna Cafe at 24310 Moulton Pkwy. Laguna Woods. Join us this Friday at 7:30 am.

A Different Kind of July 4

As we lament over the loss of our picnics, beach parties, BBQ’s and firework celebrations - an uncharted experience for most of us. We should reflect on the sacrifices of those July 4th’s when our country was involved in a different kind of war when literally freedom and liberty around the globe came under attack by foreign tyrannies:
